As a person concerned about the rampant unchecked privilege in the world, I appreciate the excellent job Trainwrecks does at pointing out when people - consciously or unconsciously - post something racist, sexist, ableist, or otherwise reeking of unexamined privilege and resources. As I’m not entirely comfortable in a community where that kind of thinking and writing goes without comment, I appreciate the monitoring they do on all our behalf. I don’t feel nearly as alone speaking out about sexism and discrimination with them active in the tumblr community.
